MES Production Management for Discrete Manufacturing
Work orders, routing, and machine data capture in a single system.
Background
A manufacturing execution system built for an auto-parts supplier in Xiaoshan. The existing process ran on paper work orders and spreadsheet ledgers: planners spent two hours a day reconciling progress, and there was no way to trace a defective part back to the specific operation that produced it. Work orders are now fully electronic, the shop floor reports through station terminals, and data rolls up to management in real time.
